Who actually writes the guides on this site?
A small in-house team based in Birmingham writes and edits every guide. Each piece carries the name of the writer and the editor who checked it, so you always know who stands behind the advice.
How is this site funded if nothing is for sale?
We keep the lights on through a mix of display advertising and occasional paid partnerships, which are always labelled clearly when they appear. We don't accept payment to influence an unlabelled recommendation inside a guide.
Can I suggest a topic for you to cover?
Yes, send us the question through the contact form and tell us what you're trying to work out. A lot of our most-read guides started as a reader's email.
What happens if you get something wrong?
We correct it. If a reader flags a mistake within 30 days of publishing, we check it, fix it if needed, and add a short note at the bottom of the article explaining the change.
